The proposal and experimental report form is based on A4 format, which will be reduced by the ILL (new this time!). Your scientific text should be on two A4 format pages including the figures. The ILL will reduce these two pages to one single A4 page in landscape format and attach it to your proposal.

In the following you will find instructions to create this postscript file with Word or LaTex.

How to create the Postscript file with MsWord

1/ Create your document (two A4 pages):
  • use Times 14 for writing your text,
with at least 1 line spacing,
  • copy your figure(s) in.
(You can change your figure's size in proportion by holding
    (a) PC: 'Ctrl' and moving a corner with the mouse,
    (b) Mac: 'Command' and moving a corner with the mouse.)
  • create a postscript file (to attach it to the proposal).
Layout of the file: 2 pages A4.
2/ Create the postscript file:
  • choose print (the printer you print to must be a postscript printer; you can create a virtual postscript printer just for the file creation),
  • then choose: print to file, (on the Mac you might find an option 'destination' in the window and there you have to change it from printer to file (it depends on your printer))
  • and click ok,
  •  you will be asked to give a file name : choose a name with extension ps (you might have to choose 'all files' for doing so).

Please try to print out the postscript file on your printer to check the right layout of the postscript file.

You should then attach this postscript file to your proposal on the last page of the electronic proposal submission system.

How to create the Postscript file with Latex

Download the latex files ILLProposalEPS.tex , ILLProposalEPS.sty, create the PostScript file and attach this postscript file to your proposal on the last page of the electronic proposal submission system.
