Technical Form for ILL proposals

General description:

The two pages of this form are to be filled in by all users who plan to come to the ILL for an experiment with their own experimental set-up. You have the possibility to use these pages to describe the experimental set-up in some detail, and insert a sketch of you apparatus if you think it will be useful.

Please, give also a short description on the procedure of utilisation, and join (or send separately) test certificates if there are any.
If gas bottles are used, please specify their volume. In the case of inflammable gas, we recommend the use of one-litre bottles.

Any ancillary equipment supplied by the user must conform to the French regulations.
You are encouraged to solve queries concerning the technical/security aspects of your experimental set-up before the proposal is submitted. SCO will help you to find the most appropriate person at the ILL for helping you.

How to submit a technical form:

Electronical proposal submission (EPS) is possible via the ILL Visitors Club.

When submitting a proposal, you will be offered the possibility of filling in the technical form when selecting the sample environment code 'Supplied by user'.

Please note that before submitting your file via the web you must:

- remove the first page - containing the guidelines
- print page 2 and 3 of the document into a postscript file
- attach it to your proposal on the Electronic Proposal System.

Additional information on the EPS can be found on the ILL web.
